Very Good dust jacket with some minor rubbing to edges, a mylar dust jacket has been added. The Very Good binding is orange paper over boards, illustration is children, a man with a cat and house, black lettering, black lettering on the spine, illustration if dogs in a cage on the back cover, The book cover and dust jacket have the same illustration. Black and white illustrations throughout by Lilo Fromm. Pages are clean and binding is tight. Book measures 7.8″ tall x 9.3″ wide.

GERLINDE SCHNEIDER was born in Pomerania and was educated in Germany and Switzerland. where she
majored in languages. She is married to a theologian and lives with her husband and three children in Hanau/Main, Germany. Uncle Harry is her first book to appear in this country.

About the illustrator (from the dust jacket)
LILO FROMM illustrated her first picture book in Germanv in 1957. She has since created a long list of outstanding picture books and in 1967 won the Deutsche Jugendbuchpreis [German Children’s Book Prize) for the best picture book of the year, and was a runner-up for the prize four times. She was born in Berlin and studied art in her native country. She is widely traveled and now spends her winters in Berlin and her summers in the South of France.
