About the book: (from the book write up)
GIRAFFE TWINS Written and illustrated BY INEZ HOGAN Author of Bear Twins, Raccoon Twins, etc. The Giraffe Twins took vast pride in being the tallest animals in the jungle, but soon they were to learn that the elephant was the strongest, the gazelle the swiftest, the hippopotamus the fattest, the wart hog the ugliest, the turtle the shortest, the monkey the funniest and the lion the fiercest. It was the lion’s roar that sent them scampering home to Mother Giraffe and safety and Mother, they decided was the kindest being in the whole world. Here is a delightful story and a simple lesson perfectly taught.
Following Miss Hogan’s writing pattern, one reading of Giraffe Twins demonstrates that its message is the clearest, the easiest, the ending the happiest, and the truly magnificent illustrations the finest this versatile author-artist has given us.
