No Jacket, a mylar dust jacket has been added. The Good binding is green cloth over boards, illustration and brown lettering, black lettering and small illustration on the spine, front hinge neatly repaired, cover shows normal wear, discoloration, corners bumped, minimal shelf wear, name inside front cover dated 12-25-1914, some toning. The binding is good and pages are clean. Frontispiece has black-and-white full page illustration, black-and-white illustrations by E. Stetson Crawford can be found throughout the book.

Gene Stratton-Porter (August 17, 1863 – December 6, 1924), born Geneva Grace Stratton, was an American writer, nature photographer, and naturalist from Wabash County, Indiana. In 1917 Stratton-Porter urged legislative support for the conservation of Limberlost Swamp and other wetlands in Indiana.
