No Jacket.  The book is bound in Christmas decorated pictorial paper over boards, orange cloth-backed, rear cover is paper over boards and has a stain.  The binding is tight and pages are clean.  Black and white drawings throughout the book.  The book has a dated inscription on Front Free endpaper, Christmas  1921.

About the author:

George William Lose was born in Westmoreland County, PA on 28 SEP 1852 in a little village called Pleasant Unity. His father was named Henry and his mother was Sophia Porch. He received his A.B. degree from Capital University, Columbus OH in 1871 and subsequently graduated from the Theological Seminary at Capital U in 1874. George married Catherine Emma Sowash on 8 MAY 1875. Lose was an Evangelical Lutheran minister for many years and was a prolific author — writing well over 70 books.
