No Jacket. The Very Good binding is staple bound, paper over boards with a foil spine, the front cover shows Santa by a chimney with toys, gilt/red lettering on the front cover, the rear cover is advertising for Little golden library. The binding shows wear at the corners and the foil on the spine, a neat on name on the inside front cover. The binding is tight and the pages are clean, with the D” in the lower right corner of the last page. The lovely illustrations by Corinne Malvern can be found on every page, all illustrations are full color.
About the author:
This Christmas favorite was written in 1822 by Clement C. Moore for his own children. He later published it as A VISIT FROM ST, NICHOLAS. Dr. Moore taught Biblical history in New York City. In the neighborhood where the poem was written, an annual Christmas party is given. At this party some well-known person reads The Night Before Christmas.

Corinne Malvern has excelled in two of the arts. She was a successful child actress, then studied art, and has since exhibited her work and done commercial art. She has illustrated the GOLDEN CHRISTMAS Book and many of the Little Golden Books, including Nursery Songs, Counting Rhymes, Christmas Carols, Hymns, Poetry, Singing Games, Up in the Attic, When You Were A BABY, and How Bic.
