Jennifer Zabel was born in 1947 in Bradford, Yorkshire. She attended Bradford Girls’ Grammar School and the University of Bradford, As part of her honours degree course in French and Russian, she chose to make a study of prize-winning French and Soviet children’s literature. She has always taken delight in writing children’s stories and hopes to make this her career, She has spent a considerable part of the last ten years living abroad — Czechoslovakia, France, Canada and Belgium-and she is now living in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. She is married with two young sons.
About The Artist (from the book)
Christopher Masters was born in Watford in 1944. He was educated at Watford Grammar School where he specialized in the sciences (although his own wish was to study art). A self-taught cartoonist and illustrator in his spare time, he works at the Lister Institute of Preventive Medicine at Elstree as a medical technician. He lives at Oxhey, Watford.
