Tibor Gergely, a native of Budapest, Hungary, and a favorite illustrator of children’s books, came to this country in 1940. Since then he has illustrated many Golden Books. Among them are THE TAXI THAT HURRIED, SCUFFY THE TUGBOAT, FIVE LITTLE FIREMEN, SEVEN LITTLE POSTMEN, and THE LITTLE RED CABOOSE.
