While her mother sleeps, Janet wanders off and is beguiled by fairies. but even the delight’s of the fairy kingdom can’t replace her own mother. This is the story of how Janet outwits the fairies. and how her mother holds fast despite the worst the fairies can do. When Janet turns into a snake. a bear, an eagle. a wolf. a toad. and a statue made of red-hot iron. mother love is put to its most difficult test.
