Very Good+ binding is white paper over boards, illustrated with a bird. The book cover and dust jacket have the same illustration. The binding is tight and pages are clean. The book measures 7.3″ tall x 5.8″ wide.

The Foolish Bird, the creation of author-illustrator Henri Maïk, is endowed with human frailties. He struts about unaware that his companions can easily detect his state of mind by the color of his tail fathers. They turn red when he is greedy, yellow when he is jealous, and black when he lies. About the author/illustrator (from the dust jacket)
Henri Maïk, born in Paris in I922, abandoned his career as an actor in 1955 to devote himself to painting. His work is to be found in many private collections and has been exhibited in Paris, Chicago, and New York. He is now busy with another children’s book.
