Examples of his work are in many private collections as well as in fifteen museums, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, Yale University, the Collection d’Etat in France, and the Jerusalem Museum in Israel.

He is a combat veteran of World War II.
