About the book:

Sylvia Thompson was busy writing a long novel, and she put on her door DO NOT DISTURB, Elizabeth, aged seven, wished that she could sit in a room and have DO NOT DISTURB on her door. So she decided to write a book. And this is it-the adventures of the two Teddy Bears, published just as she wrote it; and Georg Salter has made the pictures, by no means the least fascinating and original part of the book. One surprising thing in this story (and there are many) is the number of difficult words spelled correctly. The reason is this. Occasionally, during the mornings when Elizabeth was writing her book, the door. on which DO NOT DISTURB hung, opened a crack Elizabeth poked her head out, asked how some word was spelled, and disappeared again Mostly she was too busy to stop for this Authors frequently are.
