FRANZ and ALIKI BRANDENBERG are a husband and wife team who have created many well loved picture books. Their collaborations include The Hit of the Party, two books about an irresistible aunt (Aunt Nina and Her Nephews and Nieces and Aunt Nina’s Visit), three books about two special friends (Leo and Emily and the Dragon, Leo and Emily’s Big Ideas, and Leo and Emily), several books about the cat family featured in A Secret for Grandmother’s Birthday, and a group of books about a field mouse family including Nice New Neighbors and Everyone Ready?). Their own family consists of their two children, Jason and Alexa, and their two cats, Nefertiti and Fluffy. Former New Yorkers, they now live in London, England.
