LATIN AMERICA. HOW TO USE THIS KIT: (from the book)
This double feature kit includes an authoritative text on Latin America plus a beautiful and comprehensive wall map of the area. The map, nearly 3 feet by 4 feet, is designed to be completed by your youngster and hung on his bedroom or playroom wall.

Finishing the map is simple, fun, and instructive. There are 110 clearly labeled, colorful stamps to be pasted on the map in positions that are correspondingly marked. Each stamp depicts an occupation, a crop, a product, or a physical feature of a country. And each illustration is different.

For instance, since coffee is an important crop in many Latin American countries, there is more than one stamp for coffee. However, one stamp will show what the tree looks like, another the berry, still another how the coffee is picked and finally how it is dried before roasting. While pasting each stamp in its correct position, your youngster not only learns in which countries coffee is of economic importance but also about the coffee industry as a whole.

The map accompanies a fact-crammed, illustrated 64-page book, supplemented by concise geographical, product, and historical tables. The text and tables describe each of the 28 Latin American nations and island states.

This is the perfect combination of activity, learning, and fun-a combination in which the individual youngster or the whole family may participate. The result is increased knowledge, an attractive, informational map, and a valuable addition to the youngster’s personal library.
