About the book: (From the book cover)
What is it about dragons – the most frightening of legendary creatures – that also makes them the most popular? Their scaly snouts breathe fire as they soar through the sky, snatching young maidens from the ground and holding them prisoner in their gloomy lairs. These creatures are also rumored to hoard great treasures, and many princes and knights have died in their quests to obtain the dragons’ wealth.

Five of these extraordinary dragons from all over the world are featured in this large pop-up fantasy book. Greg Hildebrandt’s striking illustrations of the Wyvern, the Amphiptere, the Lindworm, the Chinese dragon, and the famous Dragon of St. George literally spring off the pages of a book loaded with meaty dragon facts.
