About the book (from the dust jacket)
Long ago, in the kingdom of Lydia, lived a girl named Arachne (uh-RAK-nee). Her parents were not famous, and neither was her town. But everyone knew who Arachne was, for she had a special talent. She could weave more beautiful cloth than anyone else in the world Now Arachne might have spent her whole life weaving. She might have been happy just hearing everyone’s praise. Instead, she became proud and boastful “If you ask me,” she would brag, ‘I probably weave better than the goddess Minerva herself.”‘ Imagine the uproar when Minerva heard about Arachne’s boast! Arachne’s troubles were just begınning!
