Description
No Jacket, a mylar dust jacket has been added. The Good binding is paper over boards, red cloth backed, illustrated front and rear covers show forest and animals, black lettering and white lettering on the front, shelf wear, bumped corners, scratches to cover, wear at head and foot of the spine. Illustrated end papers of an animal in the forest, rear free endpaper has a small piece missing. The binding is tight and pages are clean. Wonderful color illustrations by Roger Duvoisin throughout the book.
About the illustrator:
Roger Antoine Duvoisin (August 28, 1900 – June 30, 1980) was a Swiss-born American writer and illustrator best known for children’s picture books. He won the 1948 Caldecott Medal for picture books and in 1968 he was a highly commended runner-up for the biennial, international Hans Christian Andersen Award for children’s illustrators.
