Description

No Jacket, a mylar jacket has been added for protection.  Very Good+ condition, the binding is red cloth over boards with title in white and Adam with two monkeys and tablet color image on the front board,  title in white on the spine.  The illustrations by F. Strothmann are very unique full page images in black and white and are throughout the book.  This first edition, first printing, by Harper & Brothers has 1904 in Roman numerals on the title page, and “Published April, 1904” on the copyright page.   The binding is tight and pages are clean.

[NOTE.–I translated a portion of this diary some years ago, and a friend of mine printed a few copies in an incomplete form but the public never got them. Since then I have deciphered  some more of Adam’s hieroglyphics, and think he has now become sufficiently important as a public character to justify this publication.-M. T.]
